Oulton Project by Pixll-Video and description
Hi all,
Video of our latest installation in Leeds.
We were asked by the client to convert some space above their garage into a cinema viewing area which could be used by the couple and their children. The couple wanted good quality sound and picture which would fill the room without "blowing" the bank but also had to be child friendly for their two young children. When we initially went out to do the consultation we found that the house's previous occupiers had used the room for similar purpose. Unfotunately they had taken their equipment with them bar the projector screen and had left visable marks where the equipment had been and hadn't done a great job of hiding any cabling.
Although we felt the screen needed replacing the client was happy to persevere with it for the time being so we were left to spec a projector that would compliment the 106" fixed screen. It was a no brainer! We put in the JVC DLA X30. I have to say that it was a joy to work with and the client was extremely happy. As regards the electronics, once again we specced the combination of the Anthem MRX700 amplifier, Pioneer BDP LX55 and Sky HD.Here at Pixll we tend to favour the Anthem at the minute. What it lacks in THX licensing it makes up for in spades once the ARC calibration is done-the room sounded fantastic. To control all of the above we put in a simple Logitech Harmony Learning remote with an IR repeater kit. All of the kit is connected to the network and is housed in the gloss black Alphason cabinet in the alcove at the front right of the room.
Not a difficult job but one we took great delight in finishing, particular as we received a glowing reference from the client.
